50 Years and Running

As a major sponsor of the NYC Marathon, MasterCard asked us to create a digital campaign that celebrated the 50th anniversary of the marathon and showed their support for local small businesses.

To achieve this, we focused on small businesses along the marathon route that had opened in the last 50 years, leading with the insight that “running a small business is like running a marathon”. We created profiles for 50 small businesses, one for each year - sharing their stories to drive traffic and visibility, as well as providing them with MasterCard’s “Digital Doors” e-commerce toolkit to ensure they can adapt to the digital marketplace and thrive for another 50 years.

For content, we partnered with filmmaker and native Nick Heller, also known as @newyorknico, to support the campaign with the following short films.
