Meanwhile is an experiential art series and a live window into the natural world. It utilizes 5G technology to establish live video feeds from national parks around the world and project them in urban settings.

The first installation recreates Iceland’s Skogafoss Waterfall in Bushwick, NY – where it pours off a warehouse roof all the way to the street from 8pm – 12am every night during activation.

The installation features 35 mist nozzles to simulate the mist output of the waterfall, sound design blending ambient music with the waterfalls natural sounds, and an oil diffusion element to mimic the earthy perfume of Skogafoss. 

The project seeks to energize viewers by reminding them that our city exists within a world that never sleeps, and encourage sustainability by visualizing the interconnectedness of the urban and natural worlds.
