Connecting the joy of DIY with the joy of Soccer

As a sponsor of the Mexican National Soccer team, Home Depot wanted to create a social campaign leading up to the 2022 FIFA World Cup that would leverage talent to connect the joy of “doing” with the joy of Mexican national soccer.

The result was a social campaign called “DIY Goals” with a simple premise: MNT legends recreating soccer goal celebrations after completing a DIY project, complete with the iconic Mexican soccer commentator. After all, completing a DIY project is cause for celebration, just like scoring a goal. This allowed us to present Home Depot as a “teammate” with the tools you need to get the job done.
