Letting fans trade their game tickets for flights - so kids can attend their first game.

Coming out of the pandemic, Delta asked us to create a sponsorship activation that leveraged their partnerships with the New York Mets and Los Angeles Lakers to give back to the community in an impactful way. In our planning process, we discovered that attending an NBA or MLB game had become prohibitively expensive for some of the most passionate fans: underserved kids. So we set out to create a campaign that could be a win-win for flyers and fans.

The result was Delta Seat Swap, a program that let season-ticket holders trade tickets to games they couldn’t attend fo flights to anywhere in the country. We then used their tickets to bring local kids to their very first Lakers or Mets game. To support, we created content of the moment we surprised the kids with the tickets, as well as their game experience. For the Mets, we were able to negotiate letting one of our kids throw the first pitch.
