Building The Home of College Football

College GameDay, ESPN’s flagship college football pregame show, has been “Built” by The Home Depot for 20 years. For 8 of those years, I have been tasked with concepting, designing, and creative directing the Home Depot experintial activation, providing the energetic backdrop that draws a sea of fans to each broadcast.

The core challenge of the College GameDay fan experience is transporting it to a different college campus every week; so we produce it like a concert tour - creating elements that can be broken down and rebuilt quickly. In the 2020 covid season, our campaign popping up College GameDay at people’s homes won a Sports Business Journal and AdWeek Experiential award for best branded sports experience. In 2022, we celebrated “20 Seasons of Building GameDay” and broke records for fan attendance and interaction.
