Delta x The Masters | Airport Takeover

A Destination Unlike Any Other

Role: Concept Development, Copywriting, Creative Direction

In their first year as official airline of The Masters, Delta Air Lines wanted to make a splash at the Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) where high value customers arrive for The Masters.

We designed takeovers of the jet bridges, main corridor, and baggage claim area to showcase how “No One Better Connects The World of Golf” than Delta:

Jet Bridges - As fans deplaned, we wanted them step off the plane and onto the course, so we wrapped each jet bridge with iconic scenes from Amen Corner, and recorded a custom welcome message by Jim Nantz that played in each jet bridge.

Corridor - In the corridor that all travelers pass through entering and exiting the terminal, we brought each hole of August to life using faux plants from Universal Studios scenic designers. Each hole display featured info about the plant it was named after, including diffusers to make the space smell like Augusta National. A projection mapped Delta plane flew overhead, revealing messages that tied the experience to Delta.

Baggage Claim - Baggage claim featured “The Flyover”, a massive screen where guests could “fly over” each hole at Augusta via drone footage and “plan their route” for their time at The Masters.
